Max Keeping has been a community leader in Ottawa since the early 1970s. On March 14th, 2010, Max was made an honorary member of the Capital City Garrison during the annual Max Keeping Bowlathon. The Bowlathon is an annual fundraising event for the Max Keeping Foundation, a charity whose mission is to assist financially disadvantaged children and families to meet emotional, physical, mental and emergency needs.

Anthony Forrest is best known to Star Wars fans as the sandtrooper who said "These aren't the droids we're looking for" in the movie Episode IV: A New Hope. On October 10th, 2009, Anthony was made an honorary member of the Capital City Garrison during a book signing held at the Silver Snail.

On April 25th 2009, George Takei was made an honorary member of the Capital City Garrison. The presentation took place after the Sci-Fi Spectacular event, held at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We were very honored to have Mr. Takei give us time after the concert to sign autographs, take pictures and present to him a Capital City gift basket, which included a personalized Capital City polo shirt, a mug and a fine sampling of Canadian Maple products.
